The UPMC Brain Mapping Center has strong support from the Departments of Neurology, Neurological Surgery, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), as well as the neuroscience research community of University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. This combination of supporters has ensured a vibrant future for this important imaging technology.
An Oversight Committee comprised of members of the above disciplines is responsible for the overall management of the BMC. This group is also responsible for the strategic direction, review of ongoing operations, and the fiscal aspects of the BMC. Goals and deliverables are set by this group and monitored for completion. The committee meets every three months and completes a detailed review of clinical and research activities. All personnel decisions are approved by this body.
